Getaway Gallery December 2019 Here’s the latest selection of the best readers’ photographs submitted to the Getaway Gallery Photographic Competition for December 2019. Getaway Gallery is a prestigious showcase of the best photographs our readers have to offer. We have exciting prizes to be won this year worth over R140,000 – from equipment through to a dream trip to Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort, a private paradise in Mozambique’s Bazaruto Archipelago. Finalist – Flamingo Sunset We were on a road trip through Namibia, and Walvis Bay was one of our stops, as I wanted to photograph the flamingos with the setting sun. On the first day the fog came in, and there was not much to photograph as the flamingos were very far out. On the second evening we were presented with a magnificent sunset with clouds which created a wonderful glow on the water.
