Finalist – Jackal King – This photo was taken just north of the Kij Kij waterhole in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. A pride of lions had killed an eland the previous day. When we arrived early the next morning, the lions had already left the kill and about 15 black-backed jackals were on the scene.
