Finalist – Starling Bath – I was in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park for five days and every afternoon I parked my vehicle on the eastern side of the waterhole, looking into the sun. There was always a flock of wattled starlings trying to drink water as it was a very dry season. However, the ever-present lanner falcon made them very nervous. One afternoon the lanner didn’t appear and the starlings took the opportunity to bath.
