Shoot wildlife like a professional Posted on 22 August 2018 There’s no better teacher than experience. Learn how to shoot amazing landscape and wildlife photographs like a professional, from a professional. The Getaway Show in association with Canon, is teaming up with specialist photo guide and educator, Andrew Aveley, to host two photographic workshops at the Getaway Show to be held on 14 – 16 September at Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg. Aveley’s unwavering passion for photography is evident in his work. He kicked off his career behind the lens using film in the 1980s, before going digital in early 2006. He is the author of several photographic books and guides to the more technical aspects of wildlife and nature photography – and is also a specialist trainer for Canon South Africa. Aveley is fully engaged with landscape and wildlife imagery and uses it as a means of personal expression. He believes photography is a subjective art form and is passionate about wildlife conservation. Photography, he says, is an important means to preserve the natural heritage in South Africa for future generations. Aveley will host two workshops during the show, each session covers the topics of creative nature photography, understanding image processing and the ‘digital darkroom’. Come watch and learn from the pro on Saturday 15 September and Sunday 16 September from 10am-1pm. For only R150, which includes The Getaway Show admission fee, you can learn how to take amazing wildlife pictures. Each workshop can be booked separately, to ensure everyone has a fair chance of attending. If you’re a photo enthusiast, you can book two sessions for R250 (includes admission for one person at the show). Do you want to learn how to shoot wildlife like this?
