Killarney Raceway employs 10 000 skilled workers in Cape Town

The Killarney nine-hour endurance race took place at Killarney Raceway from 10 to 11 December in 2021.

This race forms part of an established South African Endurance Series and the 2021 nine-hour included several local driving stars like the legendary Sarel van der Merwe who won the Daytona 24-hour endurance event in Florida in 1984.

The video showcases the 2021 nine-hour and outlines the importance of Killarney to The City of Cape Town and what its future means to the City.

Killarney Raceway presents a huge opportunity for development in the racing industry in Cape Town. They employ up to 10 000 skilled workers and welcome 150 000 visitors annually.

They also help to keep the streets of Cape Town safe by hosting street racing, robot racing and drag racing events in a safe environment where people can test the limits of their cars and still feel the exhilaration of the moment.
