WATCH: Miniature fly outsmarts massive lion Posted by Lisa Abdellah on 10 April 2023 Late one afternoon on a rainy day in the Kruger National Park, safari guide Mark Fox spotted two Shishangeni male lions. One was sleeping, and the other trying to get some rest. A small but persistent fly began to irritate the lion that was still awake. A classic David and Goliath scene ensued. The lion couldn’t swat the fly no matter how hard he tried, so he eventually admitted defeat. Fox described the sighting as comical and unexpected, as the pair of lions are known for their dominance in the area.
