Surprise leopard sighting for guests at Kruger Gate Hotel Posted on 5 May 2023 A tranquil morning at Kruger Gate Hotel was suddenly electrified by the rare sighting of a leopard. When it comes to leopards, the first word that springs to mind is ‘elusive’, and for good reason. Their natural camouflage is unparalleled, and they have honed their nocturnal habits to near perfection, making glimpsing one of these felines an incredibly rare and thrilling experience. With that being said, anyone who is lucky enough to lay their eyes on one of these breathtaking predators is incredibly fortunate. This was recently the case for a group of tourists lounging around the pool at Kruger Gate Hotel when a male leopard emerged from the bush. He paused a few hundred metres away from the property to exchange a few gazes with its audience. It was a mesmerising sight that left the onlookers spellbound, as the big cat seemed to be in the process of stalking an impala. After a few moments, the leopard bounded away to continue its hunt, moving confidently yet cautiously before melting into the bush – a reflection of its predatory instincts. https://www.getaway.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/WhatsApp-Video-2023-05-05-at-09.29.06.mp4 Follow us on social media for more travel news, inspiration, and guides.
