Snake and monitor lizard battle it out in Greater Kruger Posted by Anita Froneman on 17 October 2022 A Western yellow-bellied sand snake recently caught a juvenile monitor lizard in the Greater Kruger area, but got more than it bargained for. ‘This snake was out looking for an easy meal. But an easy meal this was not! It caught a baby monitor lizard, and this lizard put up one hell of a fight,’ wrote Latest Sightings on Facebook. Take a look.
