Lion attacks pack of wild dog pups in Greater Kruger Posted by David Henning on 4 March 2022 A few African wild dog pups in the Greater Kruger region were left alone by the adults in the pack, only for an opportunistic lion to take advantage of the vulnerable canines. Jared Wolf captured this sighting while on a game drive in Lion Sands Game Reserve, where they saw three lions and a pack of wild dogs with 16 pups within 100m of each other. While observing the pack of wild dog pups, a male lion came out of nowhere, taking hold of two wild dog pups.
