Large parts of SA receive heavy rains Posted by Anita Froneman on 7 December 2021 It’s been a wet week for South Africa. Many provinces received heavy rainfall over the past few days, including the Northern Cape, Free State and Gauteng. The central Karoo, often subject to severe drought, even flooded in some parts. Areas with water shortages welcome the rain, but some towns were damaged by floods, especially infrastructure in low-lying areas. Residents from across the country shared footage with Storm Report SA on Facebook.
