Journeys with purpose: Elephant Ignite Expedition Posted on 15 September 2018 Tags:Blue Sky Society, Carla Geyser, consevation, elephant Carla Geyser, KZN adventurer, humanitarian and founder of Blue Sky Society Trust is at the 2018 Gauteng Getaway Show daily, sharing accounts of her all-women, conservation expeditions into Africa. The first was dubbed the ‘Elephant Ignite Expedition’ and saw Carla and a group of women travel 15787km, through 10 countries over 100 days to help raise awareness and funds for wildlife. Watch the video recap of this journey that took them all the way to an elephant orphanage in Kenya, below. Carla will be leaving from the Getaway Show on Sunday, 16 September, with another team of women on the ‘Rise of the Matriarch’ expedition, which will take them 9,000km, through 4 countries over 50 days through South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia.
