Cheetah takes down impala on the road in Kruger National Park Posted by Anita Froneman on 22 March 2022 Thabane Malatji was one of the lucky visitors to Kruger National Park who witnessed a kill right on the road near Crocodile Bridge. Safari-goers were parked at Gezanftombi watching a cheetah stalk a herd of impala. The chase turned towards the road and the cheetah brought down an impala ewe in the middle of the traffic. Malatji shared the video with Latest Sightings. Take a look: It is against the rules to hang out of vehicles in the park as many of the visitors can be seen doing in the video. Did you know? Some interesting facts according to Wildlife ACT: Cheetahs can reach 120km per hour over short distances. They use their tail to steer themselves when running. Cheetahs can accelerate from 0 to 100 km per hour in three seconds. Cheetahs can cover up to seven meters in one stride and more than 25 meters in a second.
