Zimbabwe’s Palm River Hotel achieves 5-star status Posted by Jordyn Johnson on 15 February 2023 Palm River Hotel in Zimbabwe is the second hotel in the country to be awarded its 5-star status from the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority. The hotel announced its exciting news on its social media page, saying that ‘since opening the hotel in December 2021, [they] have built [their) reputation around offering the discerning traveller luxury accommodation in a unique and tranquil setting.’ Travel News explained how the hotel had to undergo an extensive inspection in January by the ZTA’s quality assurance executives. The authority praised the hotel, stating that ‘service delivery was found to be exceptional. ‘It is evident that the hotel has made great strides in providing a quality product in the market. We would like to commend management for maintaining high-quality standards at the Palm River Hotel,’ the ZTA Quality Assurance Executives said about the hotel. The hotel offers 73 rooms and luxury suites, including two wheelchair-accessible rooms, along the Zambezi River bank. It also boasts an outdoor pool, on-site nature walks, and a gymnasium.
