Travel-lovers can order airplane food online Posted by Anita Froneman on 19 May 2020 Desperate times call for desperate measures. Under usual circumstances, airplane food, much like hospital food, is not something most people look forward to. It seems some die-hard travellers are so eager to get that travel feeling, that they are resorting to purchasing airplane food and snacks online. Imperfect Foods, an online surplus-stock distribution company in the US, is offering JetBlue’s cheese and snack trays for sale to the public instead of letting it go to waste. They have found creative ways to redirect other unused foods too. Movie fanatics can also buy popcorn kernels previously destined for movie theaters! These customers took to Twitter to share their satisfaction with this first class service: Weirdest sign of the times? The fact that I ordered extra @JetBlue cheese trays through @imperfect_foods. pic.twitter.com/jR4J1rwRM9 — Katelyn Shelby Davis (@katelynshelby) May 14, 2020 Gonna eat this later and pretend I’m going on a trip. @JetBlue @imperfect_foods pic.twitter.com/8S0OQPF0pW — Meg Walton (@megmwalton) May 8, 2020 Image credit: Unsplash Related Posts Cape Town’s sustainability: Leading the way in environmental initiatives 1 June 2023 As National Environmental Month commences in South Africa, Cape Town stands proudly at the forefront... read more Kapama to host Safari Guide of the Year Awards 2023 1 June 2023 Kapama Private Game Reserve near Hoedspruit will host this year’s Safari Guide of the Year... read more Blood Lions relaunches for public viewing on YouTube 1 June 2023 Award-winning documentary feature film Blood Lions has been relaunched on YouTube for public viewing, creating... read more PREV ARTICLE NEXT ARTICLE
