The 18-month-old was allegedly dangled out of the window by her grandfather when she slipped out of his arms. The ship was docked in San Juan, Puerto Rico and it is believed that the little girl, from Indiana in the US, who was on holiday with her parents and grandparents, fell onto the concrete below the ship. She was rushed to hospital and pronounced dead shortly after arrival. According to Fox News, police believe it was a tragic accident. Elmer Román from the local Department of Public Security said, ‘Police have now launched an investigation and are trawling CCTV of the ship. ‘At this time (the Division of) Homicide is in place. It has not been possible to interview the family. It is a very strong scene, very sad and tragic. ‘At one point, one of her grandparents… in an act of games, exposes the girl to the void and [she] falls out of his hands.’ Also read: Search for passenger who fell from cruise ship called off Feature image: Royal Caribbean Related Posts Cape Town’s sustainability: Leading the way in environmental initiatives 1 June 2023 As National Environmental Month commences in South Africa, Cape Town stands proudly at the forefront... read more Kapama to host Safari Guide of the Year Awards 2023 1 June 2023 Kapama Private Game Reserve near Hoedspruit will host this year’s Safari Guide of the Year... read more Blood Lions relaunches for public viewing on YouTube 1 June 2023 Award-winning documentary feature film Blood Lions has been relaunched on YouTube for public viewing, creating... read more PREV ARTICLE NEXT ARTICLE
