Three SA hotels voted world’s best by Condé Nast Posted by Anita Froneman on 8 May 2020 We all know South Africa stands back for no one. We have world class food, wine, fashion, art and so much more. So it comes as no surprise that three South African hotels made Condé Nast Traveler’s 2020 Hot List. The list showcases their picks of the year’s top hotel and cruise openings. ‘These 86 winners represent the absolute best of the best,’ they state on their website. ‘We could never have imagined that by the time we were able to announce our winners, we would be staying home for the foreseeable future. In 24 years of putting together this compendium of the latest and greatest industry openings, we’ve never published it in a year like this. Many on this list have had to, at least temporarily, close their newly opened doors. Even still, we are proud to unveil this selection of 76 hotels and 10 ships and sailings, whittled down from over 400 prospects. ‘We know that right now you’re probably wondering when you’ll be able to take your next trip. When you do, we encourage you to use these exceptional openings and launches as your guide.’ The three hotels are: Lekkerwater Beach Lodge at De Hoop, De Hoop Nature Reserve View this post on Instagram We’re proud to have our pouffes featured in the bedrooms of this exquisite lodge. Lekkerwater Beach Lodge, via @naturalselectiontravel is the most idyllic spot, nestled in De Hoop Nature Reserve. Wouldn’t you love to be in isolation here? It’s been thoughtfully put together by our resident sultans of swing, DJ’s Terrence Pearce and Dario Leite. It’s packed full of their favourite rooftop jams and if you haven’t had the chance to visit our rooftop just yet it’s a great example of what you can expect on Sunday evenings. You can find the playlist by clicking the ‘Music’ tab on our Instagram profile or by searching ‘Gigi Rooftop – Magic Hours’ on our Spotify page. . . . #gorgeousgeorgecpt #helloGorgeous #gigirooftop #djmix #musicplaylist #designhotel #rooftopbar #beautifulhotels #capetown #southafrica A post shared by gorgeous George.
