The serene Nkambeni Safari Camp Posted by Adrian Brown on 12 March 2020 Nkambeni Safari Camp, situated on the outskirts of the Kruger National Park, is a serene destination for a well-deserved bush break. With the environment in mind, the lodge has been designed to leave as little impact on its surroundings as possible. The three-star camp consists of 150 luxury tented suites, all constructed from timber and canvas. Each suite is perched on stilts, allowing any wildlife to pass freely underneath. There is air-conditioning to escape from the sweltering summer heat. Guests also have a tea and coffee station for a morning cuppa or evening rooibos. The tents have been meticulously planned to accommodate families, solo-travellers or couples looking for a romantic escape. There is also a lounge area, the perfect place to unwind with a book. There are two boma areas to spend the evening fireside, chatting and getting to know other guests. Nkambeni Safari Camp has access to 11,000 hectares of land within the Kruger National Park. The terrain will give you ample opportunity to bird watch while looking for the Big 5. The camp is situated near the Numbi Gate, where the first ever people entered Kruger in 1926. This gate is one of the most beautiful entrances to the park, with its sweeping views of the lowveld and granite foothills.
