The Kruger National Park is experiencing heavy floods due to rain Posted by Olerato Ramafsi on 9 February 2023 There is an ongoing crisis of flooding in the Kruger National Park with certain roads and bridges being inaccessible to visitors. The bridge from the restaurant at Skukuza SANParks made an announcement that there is currently no access into Skukuza from Satara due to heavy rains and floods. Guests have been advised not to cross the low water bridges until further notice as their safety is of main concern. Road washed away in Skukuza The road from Lower Sabie to Skukuza after Lubyelubye at Mhlanga stream has also been washed away by heavy floods making it impossible for people to cross. The bridge has been closed off and SANParks advised those that needed to cross to try and use alternative routes although they might also be closed depending on the volatility of the floods. Malelane gate The following roads have been confirmed to be closed off: S140 to Talamati, S40, S90, S100, S125, S126 and S127 have also been closed due to the floods.
