South Africa’s dams and waterfalls are overflowing Posted by Anita Froneman on 5 February 2021 Many parts of northern and central South Africa have received heavy rain over the past few days. The Gariep Dam is overflowing, the Vanderkloof Dam has exceeded its 100% mark, and the Augrabies Falls are roaring. In the Kruger National Park several gates, bridges and roads are closed due to flooding. Take a look at some of the glorious sights of dams overflowing in various parts of the country: Here is a list of the country’s main water sources and their current levels, as well as Lesotho and eSwatini as reported by Weather Today on Facebook, measured between February 1 and 4.
