Snowy snapshots from the Cape Posted on 27 August 2018 Tags:Cape Canopy Tour, snow, Western Cape Earlier this month we shared some snapshots of the snow from around SA, while this past weekend the Western Cape experienced snow again on the peaks of Ceres, Wellington, Worcester, as well as the Matroosberg where the snow has reportedly reached ground level. He said that he would be moving on to the Matroosberg where there have been reports of lots of snow and he would be doing another live report from here. Cape Canopy Tour , situated in the Hottentos Holland Nature Reserve, has posted an unusual photo of a King Protea with a snowy cap to its social media channels and reported that much of the snow has melted on the ground because of today’s rain, but that tomorrow should be clear if you’d like to zipline through snow covered peaks. A rare combination for South Africa: a protea blooming in the snow! Unfortunately there’s quite a bit of rain today and most of the snow on the ground has melted but, thanks to low temperatures, the ‘ice cap’ should remain on the mountain peaks. Tomorrow’s forecast is clear and calm so an ideal day for ziplining with an epic snowy mountain ‘Game of Thrones’ backdrop ⛄ Book your trip online here: capecanopytour.rezdy.com A post shared by Cape Canopy Tour (@capecanopytour) on Aug 27, 2018 at 2:27am PDT If you would like to brush up on how to take great snowscapes, we have some expert photographic tips for you.
