Snow expected over Easter Weekend Posted on 17 April 2019 If you’re traveling to Eastern Lesotho, or heading up to Sani Pass or the Afri Ski area for the long weekend, prepare for the possibility of snow. Snow Report SA has warned drivers to be cautious along these routes because of the possibility of between 5-10cm of snow. They posted this on their Facebook page: The South African Weather service has predicted rainfall and even thunderstorms from Saturday through to Tuesday. Temperatures for Friday and Saturday remain in the late teens but drop drastically on Saturday to an icy 6°C. Temperatures drop further to 4°C on Monday and the low moves into -1°C. Temperatures for Sani Pass. If you are heading out to these areas for the long weekend, pack warm and drive carefully. We advise you to keep an eye on weather forecast and prepare accordingly.
