Severe thunderstorms warning issued for the Garden Route and Karoo Posted by Tsoku Maela on 15 December 2022 A statement by the Garden Route District Municipality (GRDM) has issued a level 6 thunderstorm impact-based warming for the Western Cape and Namaqua Region of the Northern Cape. The warning is valid from Friday 16 December until Saturday 17 December along the Garden Route district. According to George Herald, storms will dominate over the western parts by Friday late morning, moving eastwards to the central and eastern regions during the afternoon and evening.
