Seven lions escape from Limpopo game park Posted on 12 May 2020 Residents in the Alldays area near Louis Trichardt, Limpopo are urged to be cautious after a pride of lions escaped from a local game park. Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo confirmed that seven lions, two females and five males, escaped from their cages on the Ingogo Safaris premises on Monday night, 11 May. They were last seen by community members this morning, Tuesday 12 May. ‘The lions were allegedly spotted by community members roaming the area opposite Speaker Park Phase 1 and 2, in Alldays policing area, this morning around 7,’ explained Mojapelo. ‘The farm owner and the police have already summoned officials from Limpopo economic development, environment and tourism. They are on their way to the area.’ Circumstances arouund how the lions were able to escape are unclear. Anyone who spots the lions is advised to contact the Alldays Police Station at (015) 575 1113.
