Scales Conservation Fund hosts annual Walk 4 Wildlife Posted by Taylah Strauss on 18 November 2021 The Scales Conservation Fund is hosting its annual Walk 4 Wildlife for the third time in a row. The Scales Conservation Fund is a non-profit organization, who raises funds to donate toward conservation charities or programs. All funds raised from Walk 4 Wildlife will benefit Scales Conservation Fund itself, as well as ReWild Rehabilitation Centre, Pangolin Rescue Fund, Protrack Rhino Task Team, and the Bush Babies Environmental Education Program. The event takes place on the 20th of November. Registration and ticket sales last from 17:30 to 18:15, hence participants are encouraged to arrive early. The walk starts at 18:30 and will walk takes approximately an hour, and since it is a full moon walk under the stars, no artificial lighting will be provided. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a guardian at all times, and children joining the event must be able to complete the full 5kms. No dogs are allowed. Adult ticket fares are R50 each, and children under the age of 12 pay R20 each. Participants are also encouraged to bring extra cash along the route to make use of the two water points available along the route. Location: The Thirsty Giraffe Pub And Grill.
