Python eats entire beach towel Posted by Anita Froneman on 4 March 2020 A hungry python called Monty in New South Wales, Australia needed medical intervention after swallowing an entire beach towel. A video posted to social media of veterinarians at the Small Animal Specialist animal hospital removing the towel from the snake has since gone viral. Monty, an 18 year old Female Jungle Carpet Python is 3m long, and lives with her owner who took her to the vet after she saw her eat the beach towel. Watch how doctors pry the towel from her belly: Monty was put under anesthesia and the removal was a complete success. Her owner told the hospital that she is ‘back to her happy, hungry self’.
