Private Airlink charter flight to Limpopo struck by bird Posted by Taylah Strauss on 10 January 2022 A private Airlink charter flight to Limpopo took a turn for the worst when a bird smashed into the aircraft on 3 January 2022. A propeller broke off and took course smashing the plane, according to News24. Whilst passengers were left shaken up, no passengers nor crew members were injured. However, not the same can be said for the aircraft. In a statement, Airlink stated that per aviation protocols and regulations, the accident was reported to the South African Civil Aviation Authority who will conduct an investigation into the matter.
