Plane passenger mistakes exit for bathroom door Posted on 11 June 2019 Tags:Manchester, PIA A female passenger on board a flight from the UK to Pakistan from Manchester Airport opened an emergency exit rather than the bathroom door. Luckily, the airplane was still stationed on the ground, but was inevitably delayed as a result. Forty passengers were offloaded and the delay went on for seven hours. The airplane belonged to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), and was meant to fly from Manchester, UK to Islamabad in Pakistan. According to CNN Travel, PIA said in a statement that while passengers were being offloaded, the exit slides automatically deployed. Despite the somewhat ridiculous nature of the incident, no passengers were harmed.
