Plane breaks into three pieces in Turkey Posted on 5 February 2020 A Pegasus Airlines plane skidded off the runway at Istanbul’s Sabiha Gokcen airport before breaking into three pieces. According to BBC, the plane was carrying 171 passengers and six crew at the time of the crash. Videos of the plane on social media show a small fire on the side of the aircraft. The plane was landing in heavy rains and was flying in from the western province of Izmir. An investigation has been launched and the airport has been temporarily closed to air traffic.
