Nine-year-old boy drowns in Kruger National Park Posted by Taylah Strauss on 20 July 2022 Tragedy struck when a nine-year-old boy visiting Kruger National Park with his family drowned in a pool on 16 July. Skukuza entrance. Credit: Pavel Špindler/Wikimedia Commons The drowning occurred at the Skukuza day visitor area. The boy was found floating in the pool by a security officer doing his rounds. The officer administered CPR while waiting for emergency services but unfortunately, the boy was pronounced deceased by the on-site doctor. After notifying the proper authorities, the boy was removed from the scene and an inquiry has been opened by the police.
