Namibia is now offering a digital nomad visa Posted by David Henning on 17 October 2022 Namibia now offers a digital nomad visa where travellers can live and work in Namibia for up to six months through the country’s Digital Nomad Programme. READ: Heavy hail storm captured in Windhoek The Namibian government revealed its Digital Nomad Visa on 11 October. To qualify, travellers must demonstrate proof of funds to sustain themselves and their dependents. Approximately US$62 (R1 100) will be required upon arrival as payment for the visa with Namibia’s Digital Nomad portal applicant must earn more than $2 000USD (approximately R36 0000) per month. An accompanying spouse would need to prove that they earn $1 000USD per month and an additional $500USD for each accompanying child. Upon arrival, applicants will need to arrive with a complete Digital Nomad Visa Application Form and six months’ bank statements as proof of income, proof of flight and accommodation, a motivation letter from the employer and proof of travel insurance.
