My Octopus Teacher wins SAFTA Posted on 24 May 2021 The South African Film and Telenovela Awards (SAFTA) took place this past weekend and alongside many talented actors and television shows who received awards for their impeccable performances, the BAFTA-winning documentary, My Octopus Teacher, won yet another award. The documentary was named the Best Natural History and Environmental Programme. My Octopus Teacher has bagged three awards already: an Oscar for Best Documentary, a BAFTA for Best Documentary, and now a SAFTA for Best Natural History and Environmental Programme.
