Win an iPad with My Destination’s Biggest, Baddest Bucket List Posted on 5 March 2013 Tags:Cape Town, London As you might have read (here) a while ago, My Destination’s Biggest Baddest Bucket List competition wants to send one person on a six-month trip around the world – all expenses paid. Doesn’t sound like a bad way to spend half of the year now does it? Maybe some of you haven’t yet got around to entering because you don’t want to leave your hubby, your spouse, your best friend or (perhaps) your mom at home. Well, now if you win the grand prize, the guys at My Destination will be happy to pay the accommodation expenses of anyone that you want to take along on this trip of a lifetime. You can then use your $50 000 cash prize to pay for anything else that they might need. Problem solved. You might also be of the opinion that the chances of becoming the grand prize winner are too small to go to all the trouble of entering. Well, now you can console those thoughts with these: all ten finalists will be going on a one-week, all-expenses paid trip to London before the final winner is announced. Apart from all that, there are also prizes for the top two local entries: either a Two Oceans helicopter flight over Cape Town for two people with Cape Town Helicopters, valued at R2800, or a half-day cycling safari at Buffelsfontein Private Game Reserve with Bike and Saddle, valued at R6000. How to enter 1. Make a video Shoot a video of your favourite destination. Include its best bits, its hidden bits, your favourite bits and all the bits that make it so incredible. Make your passion for this destination tangible. Don’t worry, you don’t need to have the best camera or cameraman, the resolution won’t count. What counts is your energy, creativity and how you present your destination to the world. 2. Write a story Tell the crowd about your most memorable travel experience. Make them laugh, make them cry or make them smarter – it doesn’t matter, just do it in 500 words or less. 3. Add your pictures To accompany your tale, you need three photos. If you don’t have them, re-enact the story. They should give your story that extra edge. Entries close on 31 March 2013 entries close. That leaves you with just under a month to show the world your passion for travel, your enthusiasm for adventure and the awesome personality that you’ll be taking with you on a six-month trip around the globe. If you’re still not amped (hard to believe) watch this video by Ben Southall, a guest judge and the winner of Best Job in the World. 4. Visit www.mydestination.com/bbb and send it in!
