Level 3: Travel to and from Gauteng allowed Posted by Anita Froneman on 26 July 2021 President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed the nation on Sunday, 25 July and announced the country’s move to lockdown Level 3. Several adjusted measurements will be implemented to help allow for economic recovery in the travel and hospitality sectors, among others. Johannesburg, Gauteng. These include: -Interprovincial leisure travel is allowed into and from Gauteng -The nighttime curfew is moved to start at 10pm and end at 4am -The ban on alcohol sales is lifted. Sales for onsite consumption are allowed daily until 8pm. Sales for offsite consumption are allowed Mondays to Thursdays between 10am and 6pm -Non-essential establishments like restaurants, bars may operate, but have to close at 9pm -Gatherings are allowed but are limited to 50 people indoors and 100 people outdoors. -Where the venue is too small to adhere to this, 50% of the venue may be utilised.
