Karoo National Park receives much-needed rain Posted by Anita Froneman on 20 February 2020 Members of the Karoo National Park Facebook group were overjoyed when bountiful rain poured down in the area last night (Wednesday, 19 February). Some roads were closed and visitors could not cross without the help of tractors. One user posted two videos, saying: ‘A total of 14mm was recorded. The river near the camping site came down beautifully, and all guests and staff had to wait till well into the night for assistance to cross with the help of a tractor.’ Others posted photos, expressing their joy as the area is known for being very dry all year round and any rain is welcome: Credit: SANPArks Related Posts Cape Town’s sustainability: Leading the way in environmental initiatives 1 June 2023 As National Environmental Month commences in South Africa, Cape Town stands proudly at the forefront... read more Kapama to host Safari Guide of the Year Awards 2023 1 June 2023 Kapama Private Game Reserve near Hoedspruit will host this year’s Safari Guide of the Year... read more Blood Lions relaunches for public viewing on YouTube 1 June 2023 Award-winning documentary feature film Blood Lions has been relaunched on YouTube for public viewing, creating... read more PREV ARTICLE NEXT ARTICLE
