Venice, Italy ‘The ordinance of the Minister of Health which provides for the Green Certification Covid-19 to enter Italy expires on May 31. The measure will not be extended,’ The Italian Ministry of Health announced on 30 May. Italian authorities decided to do away with entry rules after looking at the country’s low infection rates, concluding that Covid-19 no longer causes serious health implications. With the onset of strict lockdown measures in 2020, Italy was at the epicentre of the pandemic with a soaring death toll. Today, 87% of its adult population have received their primary vaccination, and 77% have received their additional booster dose.
