Golden Bridge setting new heights in Vietnam Posted on 1 August 2018 Snaking through the forest, high up in the hills near Danang in Vietnam, two giant concrete hands extend through the trees showcasing an extraordinary bridge. The hands hold up a pedestrian bridge and give visitors an uninterrupted, exceptional, view of the area. There are gardens of lavender surrounding the bridge and it was unbelievably constructed in just one year. The bridge was opened to the public in June and has received hordes of tourists, much to the architect’s surprise. “We’re proud that our product has been shared by people all over the world,” principal designer and founder of TA Landscape Architecture, Vu Viet Anh, told AFP. The area has become an overnight tourist attraction thanks to the Golden Bridge. The area has sprawling lawns and manicured gardens, a cable car and a replica of a French medieval village, which also boasts a fake castle and a cathedral. Developers, Sun Group, came under heavy criticism by locals in the area who felt it might spoil the landscape but it has proved to be a huge drawcard. Cau Vang is 150 metres in length and 1.5 metres in width. The Golden Bridge designer Anh is already on to his next project – he is busy on a silver bridge which he will connect to his work on the Golden Bridge. This bridge is expected to look like a strand of God’s hair. Vietnam.
