Flights booked on their website are on offer from around R2 400 each way for this route.

Fastjet will also increase their frequency between Harare and Victoria Falls to four times a week. Commencing 1st April they will increase the frequency to daily flights along this route.

‘On-going flights to Harare and Bulawayo have been great, but seeing that the falls is Zimbabwe’s number one tourist destination – this is a critical first step,’ says Garth Jenman, managing director of Hideaways which specialises in travel to Zimbabwe. ‘This is the best time to travel to the falls as its not busy at all. You’ll have it all to yourself and get the best service as travel staff can’t wait for your return.’

Staying in Victoria Falls is now more affordable for South African tourists. Lodges and hotels here and across Southern Africa have reduced prices dramatically to attract South African and domestic tourists. The next few months will also see a dramatic rise in water volume cascading over the 1.7 km wide chasm. The Zambezi River is reaching record levels and  timing is good to see the falls at its most impressive.
