Explore the picturesque Garden Route National Parks for free Posted by Anita Froneman on 12 November 2020 The South African National Parks (SANParks) are inviting South Africans to visit its Garden Route National Parks (GRNP) during a free access week (SA National Parks Week). Gates are open on November 16-20 to all South Africans including families, interest groups and others. ‘Conserving the area and maintaining it as a National Park is what keeps it so picturesque,’ SANParks said in a statement. SANParks invests a lot in the upkeep of the Park which in turn also benefits towns, people, business and tourism in the region.’ The Garden Route is known for its pristine beauty and an endless range of outdoor activities to do year-round. Visitors are also encouraged to follow a virtual tour organised by the GRNP during the free access week via the SANParks Youtube or other social media channels during SA Parks Week at 7.30pm daily.
