Delayed vessel carrying jet fuel arrives in Cape Town Posted by Anita Froneman on 4 October 2022 The delayed vessel carrying jet fuel for Cape Town International Airport has docked in the harbour, according to Airports Company SA (ACSA). READ: Flights cancelled at Cape Town International due to lack of jet fuel Jet fuel deliveries to the airport are expected to resume on Tuesday evening after the necessary quality processes have been completed, reports News24. The vessel was supposed to arrive in the Mother City nine days ago. The delay was attributed to bad weather. Flysafair’s spokesperson Kirby Gordon described the situation as “a nightmare”. US carrier United Airlines, cancelled direct flights to Cape Town and return flights from Cape Town over the weekend.
