With this increased demand, travel agencies have noticed longer wait periods for clients to receive their tourist visas. Picture: Getaway gallery Where 15 days was expected for the visa process, it can now take up to 30 days, reports Travel News. A long list of documents is required to apply for a tourist visa. Six months’ banking statements are needed. A letter of employment and letter of motivation must be submitted in Spanish (the Colombian Embassy says that using Google Translate is sufficient).
