Closure of the Geelbek Restaurant in West Coast National Park Posted by Anita Froneman on 26 April 2022 SANParks has announced the closure of the Geelbek Restaurant in the West Coast National Park. Its contract with the current operator will expire on 30 April 2022. SANParks said it is in the process of appointing an interim operator which is expected to open by the end of June 2022. The interim restaurant will run for 12 to 15 months until a new operator is appointed to allow for a smooth transition. The reason for the restaurant’s contract not being renewed was not stated.
