Close shave for shark divers in South Africa Posted on 25 March 2013 Tags:South Africa Shark-cage diving. Have you done it? I haven’t and I’m glad that I didn’t think last week would have been a good time to start. A first time shark-cage diver got his money’s worth whilst diving in Gaansbaai (which, according to the BBC news reporter, is pronounced Gonesabie), when a shark completely ignored the bait and went straight for the cage, managing to squeeze part of his head into the cage with the divers. It’s not the greatest video but you can see why you you wouldn’t want to have been the one in the cage. The diver, who had just been married, emerged completely unscathed.
