According to Travel News, The 5-day mandatory isolation will begin immediately on arrival in the country, which can be in a hotel room or a private facility. Travellers will also be required to report their health and location daily, with the government health inspectors conducting mandatory health inspections. Upon arrival, non-resident visitors will need to provide proof of a negative PCR test taken not more than 72 hours before boarding. They will also be required to complete a sworn electronic statement up to 48 hours before boarding, which you can access here. Prior to travelling, visitors also need travel insurance with a minimum cover of $30 000 (R435 000) and a mobility pass via the vaccine validation system, which you can access here. It is important to apply for this pass, to ensure the validity of your vaccination certificate, 30 days before your departure.
