Cathay Pacific’s Cape Town-to-Hong Kong route returns Posted on 15 April 2019 Cathay Pacific is bringing back its popular seasonal route between South Africa’s Mother City and Hong Kong. Travellers will be able to book non-stop flights between the two global hubs from November 2019 to February 2020. The seasonal route will operate alongside Cathay Pacific’s existing daily non-stop flights from Johannesburg to Hong Kong. To celebrate the relaunch of the route, Cathay Pacific will be offering discounts on various accommodation, restaurants and activities. For instance you can use your boarding pass to claim a 50% discount off two admission tickets to Madame Tussaud in Hong Kong or 15% discount on standard tickets to the Hong Kong Observation Deck. The airline first introduced the seasonal route in November 2018, and will be brought back due to popular demand from both South African and Asia-based customers, who were able to reduce the travel time and expenses considerably. The route includes three flights a week with a flight duration of 13 hours 50 minutes. Flight CX794 will depart Cape Town International Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 11h05 arriving at Hong Kong International Airport at approximately 06h55 the following morning.
