This solar-powered beach lodge has seven cabins situated under 250 metres from the ocean. Not only do us humans love this spot but between June and October, hundreds of southern right whales swim into the shallows to calve. De Hoop is a marine protected area and so there is an abundance of oceanic animals that frequent these waters. Guests spend their days either relaxing in a wood-fired hot tub, swimming in the sea or dipping in pool, exploring the many rockpools or they can have a braai on the beach. It’s no wonder this incredible destination was ranked among the world’s best. Journey through time in one of the most historic and scenically beautiful locations on the African continent. • Learn about the marine life, fynbos and pristine environment of the unusual reserve. • Eat dinner on the beach with the sand between your toes and the region’s finest wines on the table. There certainly aren’t many places to enjoy this in South Africa… • Experience some of the world’s best land-based whale watching straight from your bedroom. • Enjoy staying in a cosy and intimate lodge. Here, you will arrive as strangers and depart as friends. 🌊 @naturalselection #lekkerwaterbeachlodge #travel #travelafrica #naturelovers #dehoopnaturereserve #whalewatching #whale #beach #southernrightwhales #animals #food #luxurytravel #luxury #nature #southafricatravel #africa #picoftheday #photooftheday #instagood #instalove #love #instalike #sea #southafrica #overberg #likeforlikes #like4likes #ocean #tbt #naturephotography A post shared by Travel Abroad (@travelabroadza) on Oct 17, 2019 at 1:34pm PDT View this post on Instagram We would rather be here with these views on this gloomy, rainy day in NYC, what about you? @naturalselectiontravel A post shared by Imagine PR (@imaginetravels) on Oct 16, 2019 at 1:53pm PDT View this post on Instagram Arrived in heaven 🕊 the most unique place I have ever stayed at.
