Airlink announces regional flight network

Airlink announced a number of new destinations they will be flying to in the coming months. The airline will reintroduce its regional flight schedule in phases, starting October 5.

‘Travelers will now have the freedom to combine their local and regional flights from the major cities such as Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, East London, Bloemfontein, and Nelspruit, to your regional destinations such as Harare, Lusaka, Maputo on Airlink services, seamlessly, on a single ticket itinerary, enhancing your travel experience whilst affording you the peace of mind of knowing that your investment in your travel plans is safe,’ said the airline in a statement.

Airlink is adding new regional routes to its schedules.

From October 5, Airlink will resume its mid-morning services between Johannesburg and Cape Town as well as local routes such as Port Elizabeth, East London and others. Airlink will also be connecting travellers from Johannesburg to Harare on this date, departing from Joburg at 10:30am and arriving in Harare at 12:10pm. The return flight will depart Harare at 12:40pm to land in Johannesburg at 2:35 pm.

From October 12, Airlink will launch a Johannesburg/ Maputo route. This will be an early afternoon flight that will operate on Wednesdays and Fridays. The flight will leave Johannesburg at 1:45pm to arrive in Maputo at 2:40pm. The return flight will depart from Maputo at 3:15pm arriving in Johannesburg at 4:25pm.

Regular services will also be introduced on:

  • Johannesburg/Walvis Bay
  • Johannesburg/Ndola
  • Johannesburg/Lusaka
  • Cape Town/Windhoek
  • Johannesburg/Pemba Northern Mozambique
  • Johannesburg/Beira
  • Johannesburg/Tete

Airlink is allowing passengers the choice of a window or aisle seat as middle seats will not be available for booking. For passengers in economy class, a 20kg checked luggage limit is allowed and a 30kg luggage limit is allowed for those in business class. On board catering will also be available.
