Vergelegen hosts rare wine tasting for International Sauvignon Blanc Day Posted by Taylah Strauss on 29 April 2022 One of the world’s most popular white wines, Sauvignon Blanc is a classic dry white made from grapes with green skins that produce its trademark crisp taste. It even has its own day on the calendar – 7 May. Vergelegen wine estate invites you to celebrate International Sauvignon Blanc Day the right way. However, this will not be your typical wine tasting. At Schaapenberg Vineyard, guests will have the opportunity to sample the wine where it was made. There are rarely wine tastings here, but Vergelegen is pulling out all the stops to make your visit a memorable one. From the top of Schaapenberg Hill, guests will be able to enjoy breathtaking views of False Bay and the Helderberg Mountains while sipping a chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc paired with canapés.
