Sky-Hi Ride in Cape Town offers new adrenaline-filled adventure Posted by Chloe Cowley on 12 April 2022 If you are a thrill-seeker, then this ride is for you. This gravity-defying ride is located on floor number 28 of Hotel Sky in Cape Town. Standing 146 metres above the bowl of the Mother City, it is the first ride of its kind in Africa and only one of three in the whole world. Be prepared to experience a breathtaking 4G free fall at a speed of up to 100km/h, while taking in an incredible bird’s-eye view of the city. As said on their website, this 35-metre ride ‘will take you to new heights’, and if you want to relive the experience you can purchase a video along with some merchandise from the Sky-Hi Boutique. The ride operates from Tuesday to Sunday from 12pm to 8pm. It is limited to 10 adventure-seekers per ride. It is located at Hotel Sky, on the corner of Lower Long and Walter Sisulu Ave, Cape Town. WATCH: Keep in mind: Bookings are essential, get your ticket on Webtickets at R200 pp. You have to wear a mask at all times. The ride is weather-dependent and cannot operate under heavy rain, mist or certain wind conditions. In the case that the ride is cancelled, ticket holders will be offered a 7-day re-booking option on the Webtickets website. Age requirements are a minimum of 8 years old and a maximum of 65 years old. The minimum height requirement is 1,3 metres and a maximum of 1,85 metres. Are you brave enough to give it a go?
