Bring postcards back from the edge of extinction with Postick Posted on 17 May 2012 Tags:Cape Town This Kickstarter project by Cape Town’s Tatiana Buisson, aims to revive the postcard but in an incredibly clever way. If you don’t know, Kickstarter is a highly successful internet platform in which individuals use crowd-sourced funding to bring ideas to fruition. Tatiana, the creative brain behind the idea describes her ‘Postick’ idea as ‘Adhesive postcard-back labels that transform photographs, drawings, notes & all sorts of things into real, physical postcards.’ Each backer to pledge a few dollars, essentially pre-buying it, to bring this great idea to life will receive some pretty cool gifts with their purchase of the first Posticks. And don’t fret about the cash, if the project doesn’t achieve it’s goal your money stays in your account so you don’t have anything to lose, unless you don’t partake of course. I’m hoping it works because I reckon it’d be pretty cool to send a beer mat from the back of beyond to my nearest and dearest… well.. not a beermat, she wouldn’t be suprised by that.
