Here are some of our favourite activities to save for a rainy day. 1. The South African National Museum of Military History Picture: Wikimedia Commons/Ossewa Established in late August of the year 1947 by South Africa’s Prime Minister, the South African National Museum of Military History aims to serve as a memorial for all South Africans who lost their lives through military actions. It also preserves South Africa’s military history for future generations. This museum offers guests guided tours, opportunities to examine historical artifacts, a library and photographic facilities. This educational centre is closely affiliated to the Gauteng Department of Education.
